New Smyrna Beach, FL – Florida Surf Film Festival is proud to welcome Bryan Forand, power surfer, writer, and editor, to the screening panel for the inaugural 2013 event. His long history and compassion for this community is nothing short of beefy. The facts are these: Bryan has seen more documentary surf films, more times than the average surfer by a factor of 50; He’s a seasoned traveler with the an eye for the tube and a mean hack. Bryan is a fixture in the lineups around these parts and brings a true local representation to our screening panel. FSFF is stoked to have him on board!
Bryan Forand, at 33 years old, lives in New Smyrna Beach, FL. He is the founder and editor of Fluid Magazine, Central Florida’s premiere lifestyle and culture publication. He is also the General Manager and Head Buyer at Salty Dog Surf Shop.
In his travels, Bryan has wandered through Colombia, Brazil, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Mexico, Bahamas, Canada, Puerto Rico, Jamaica, England, France, Italy, Austria, and Indonesia. He prides himself on learning from the older generation–advice and stories.
Bryan enjoys his family time with wife, Nicole, friends, traveling, surfing, golfing, nature, camping, and absorbing life.
